Buzzer is the first Word of Mouth Marketing agency in Europe, leading this marketing revolution since 2005 from Amsterdam. We execute Buzzer Campaigns in Germany (2009), the Netherlands (2005), Belgium (2007), Switzerland (2009) and soon many more countries. Honest mouth to mouth based on a product experience is our ultimate goal.
Buzzer campaigns bring new, ‘buzzable’ products and services to the market. By confronting consumers (Buzzers) with these products. Our campaigns are designed to let consumers experience the product, enable Buzzers to share their experience with the people around them (= buzzing) and gather feedback about this. So far we have worked for companies like Nestlé, Philips, Unilever, Heineken, Tchibo etc. Buzzer has become a leading player in the marketing arena and our international scope and client record continues to grow.
A Campaign Manager is the driving force behind the buzz. You’ll be one of the first employees in the company and working directly with the Managing Director and the Dutch Buzzer team. Next to you the team exists of 5 FTE’s (Assistants and Boosters). The Campaign Manager is responsible for both the launch and the realization of a successful Word Of Mouth campaign from the moment we are briefed by a client up to the analysis of the last BuzzPoll. Overall tasks are:
Marketeers are often interested in a job which turns out to be hard to find: on one hand they like the responsibility they have for a product as a brand / marketing manager on the client side. But on the other they drawn by the dynamics, variety and creativity of the agency side. Do you find this dilemma recognizable? Keep on reading. With Buzzer you no longer need to choose. You are end responsible for your own campaigns, continuously challenged in the creative area and performing very diverse tasks and roles. So: the best of both worlds!
You're (probably) a product, brand, marketing or interactive campaign manager with hands-onexperience and committed attitude. With a natural tendency towards organizing in a structuredproject management way and able to live a planning and be flexible on this. With a sixth sense for creative ideas, plus an infinite curiosity after what drives consumers. You feel attracted by the unlimited possibilities of a successful, rapidly growing marketing pioneer and want to be a part of a start-up with a solid backbone. You have a strong personality and ditto opinion and you act independently and self motivated, with both passion, commercial sense and a healthy dose of idealism. You’d like to help marketeers and marketing companies think in new ways. You are at ease in both off- and online communication. You're ambitious. You (can learn to) love the colors purple and orange. And bees.
You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as product / brand / marketing manager, consultant, interactive marketeer or campaign / project manager in a marketing environment. You are a native German speaker and write and speak English fluently.
Buzzer offers an international team of dedicated people to work with and a chance to be part of a small company going for big success. A competitive remuneration which will rise to buzzable heights after 6 months. And of course you always have opportunity to experience the latest products, music, books, candies, gadgets, movies, cosmetics, beverages etc.
Does this sound as your dream job? Send an e-mail with your information (resume, portfolio, an indication of your desired salary, story, mission statement, diary, photo album, sizes, favorite book, enemies) to info

Buzz Browsing. You start the day by checking out what's happening on the 3 campaigns that you manage. Read some BuzzReports that came in: what kind of feedback do the Buzzers give on the product, does the story land as we intended and how are the BuzzTools received and used. You see if there are things that customers should know immediately and you park some feedback for a Poll that will be send out to all Buzzers on the campaign soon.
Prelaunch. Pretty soon 2 new campaigns will start so you are pretty busy with all the preparations. The first designs for the Buzz Tools are shown by your creative colleagues. You look for yourself whether they suit your briefing. You formulate your feedback and discuss it with them. You decide to go for one more round before the materials will be sent to the customer for their input and final ok.Insights. One campaign is almost finished and the Buzzers filled in a Final Poll, so that you can analyze the most important insights in quantifiable manner. Together with your research colleague you discuss the key outcomes that should be addressed in the End Presentation on how the client should fine-tune the proposition or communication behind the product we buzzed.
Planning! It is exciting to work on so many different aspects, but it does require proper planning and discipline to keep everything on track. You look at where you stand for all your campaigns and decide what your priorities are. The account director will help you with this process. You know that next week you will get into a time crunch with 2 client meetings and a campaign going live. Time to plan and to let the colleagues you will need help from know in advance what challenges you will need to tackle together.
Creative brainstorm. Brainstorm together with some creative people, the account director & the creative director to come up with ideas for Buzz Tools for a new campaign. In a few hours you come up with some unique & funny Tools that will help the Buzzers to experience the product thoroughly and to buzz many people about it. These are the fun moments: creative thoughts fly across the table and you start to get a more clear idea on the campaign. With these ideas you’ll be able to (together with the account director) sell the campaign to the client next week.
Content. You check the online BuzzKit with a colleague from Creation. You give your feedback about the tone of voice and images. Since there is not much time to finish it, you call the client to get some additional fun facts about the product that will be buzzed, and write some extra pieces.
Clients. Necessary but never easy aspect of your job;-). In general, our clients find it quite scary to be completely transparent and honest towards consumers. The "handling" of customers is therefore a real challenge. Without our coaching our clients transform the materials and communication to the Buzzers into “push style” advertising brochures. It is your job to show the incredible value of an open cooperation with consumers and convince them to use our open and more vulnerable tone of voice.
